The Importance of Photography
How often do you hear stories about Moms sitting on the side of the bed holding a photo of a son who’s left home for college or a Dad who always keeps a picture of his little girl in his wallet even though she is grown and married? Families change, children grow-up, but it is the pictures that always remain.
My mother brought some old photos of me when I was a baby, and it was through those pictures that I realized just how much my son looks like me. I remember thinking how thankful I was that she had taken these photos and took the time to keep them safe.
There’s a reason why we always hear about people risking their lives to drag the family photos out of a burning or flooding home. It is the images of our lives and families that make the real impact more than any of our other possessions. I can’t picture someone racing back into a burning house to rescue their TV or furniture.
Photos are a great way to live and remember a moment. To look at a photo and have it take you back in time in your life is a great experience. Now that I have a son of my own, I have truly realized the importance of photography in capturing the journey of life.
That’s why I do what I do, for my family and for yours. I want to celebrate the daily life and experiences of families through photographic art. It is my passion to provide you with images that will capture moments and carry on memories through the years.
